Annie Jewel (Williams) Thomas

Annie Thomas was born on May 14,1956 to Annie and Henry Williams in Longview, TX, the 2nd of 9 children.

She attended Longview High School. She moved to Houston, TX, and attended Prairie View A&M University after graduating from Longview High School in 1974. During college, she met David Thomas, whom she later married. From the union three children were born. After their marriage ended in 1991, she and her three children returned to Longview, Texas. She was later widowed.

She was employed with Harmony Living Centers for 33 years, from 1991 up until her departure. She was monumental in the facilitation and care of many IDD individuals over the numerous years she invested her time into the company. As a caretaker, she also assisted with her mother's care until 2002, when her mother passed away.

She loved and maintained great relationships with each of her 3 children. She wanted nothing more than to see them prosper and succeed throughout their lives. She was blessed to greet her
first grand child in 2019. She loved and adored him and wanted nothing more than to watch him grow, thrive and prosper.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones. She also enjoyed cooking, dancing, fishing, singing, and much more. She was family-famous for her dressing and German Chocolate
cake around Thanksgiving time. She loved and directed the choir at Northside C.O.C for a couple years. She loved God and often spoke about him to everyone she came in contact with.

On Thursday, April 11, 2024 our Mighty Father of Heaven and Earth called Ms. Annie home. She was 67 years young. 

She leaves to be devoted to her memory: two sons, Adarius Williams and Dimitrian Thomas Sr.; one daughter, Katrina Thomas; one grandson, Dimitrian Thomas Jr.; four brothers, Eugene (Lisa), Henry "Lee", Terry (Monica), and Tommy (LaRaslum); three sisters, Hazel, Karen, and Jeanette; as well as a plethora of beloved nieces and nephews.
